Color of Hope
Glossary goes pink this month in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Throughout October, you’ll give color to the cause when you support these brands, because a portion of their proceeds support a variety of Breast Cancer research and education organizations. So for 31 days, you’ll not only look good, you can celebrate the beauty of giving.

BALMSHELL Lip Gloss, 1 in 8, $22.
BALMSHELL’s “1 in 8” Lip Gloss not only polishes the lips with soft pink shine, it aims to raise funds and spread awareness about breast cancer. The name “1 in 8” calls attention to the staggering statistic that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. But that whimsical floating design of the tube will turn that frown upside down. Eight bras in various sizes, shapes and colors are strung along a clothesline between two trees. As you tilt the tube, a hot pink target slides back and forth. Initials carved into the trunks of the trees pay tribute to two women dear to the BALMSHELL family: Nancy Pitfield, mother of BALMSHELL Marketing Manager Kate Pitfield, and Sheila Cudney, Nancy’s best friend. Once you’ve finished the gloss, disconnect the wand from the tube and use it as a key chain – and keep the message alive indefinitely. One dollar from the sale of every lip gloss is donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Available at www.balmshell.com.

Everyday Lip Gloss, $5.
With Everyday Lip Gloss’ eight gorgeous shades, you can support the Breast Cancer cause eight days a week, 365 days a year! A portion of every purchase is donated to breast cancer research and education all year long. Created by a team personally affected by the disease, the all-natural formula is cruelty-free (no animal testing and no animal bi-products) and locks in moisture. Every color is versatile and stylish – our favorites include Innocence (mauve shimmer), Girls Night Out (blackberry), Honey B (glimmering nude) and, of course, Pink Diamonds.
