Having it all, beautifully

For Jennifer Flavin-Stallone, wife of Sylvester Stallone, doing all of this while building a billion-dollar beauty empire is all in a day’s work.  Being gorgeous is just a bonus. Helping you get gorgeous is what really matters to this mom/model/mogul.

Blessed with beauty but cursed with acne prone sensitive skin, Flavin-Stallone launched her first skin care collection 13 years ago in her quest to find skin care products that would calm her blemish prone complexion.  Flavin-Stallone’s newest health, beauty and skin care collections, Seriesse International, includes S.I. Color Cosmetics, a well-edited line of mineral-based must haves for face.  After testing S.I. Color Cosmetics the collection, and loving it, we asked Flavin-Stallone to share her secrets for having it all, all while looking perfect.

Since most of us struggle to keep our lives in order with much less on our plates, it’s no surprise that Flavin-Stallone’s approach to beauty is all about balance. “I think it’s extremely important to take care of yourself inside and out. Surround yourself with family and those who make you happy because in order to look good- you have to feel good as well. Other simple things like drinking lots of water and finding the right products have helped me to look and feel my best,” she explains.

And if you think the gang at the water cooler is hard to please, imagine the stress of walking the red carpet.  Flavin-Stallone copes with Hollywood’s critical eye by staying true to her own personal sense of style. She explains, “The most important thing is to know what works best for you. Rather than buying into specific trends, find those shapes, styles and colors that make you look and feel your best.”

Finding that just right hue is what inspired Flavin-Stallone to launch the S.I. Color Cosmetics collection. Shades were created to flatter virtually every complexion, with products aimed at creating flawless looks that are also fail proof.   For the creator of this mineral based line, it’s all about accessible glamour, “our goal was to create a comprehensive line of makeup that would help women achieve that perfect natural look enabling them to exude confidence and truly shine.” The mineral makeup, including concealers, foundation and blushes, glides on and contains no fillers or talc. Plus, everything in the collection, from eye shadow quads to lipsticks, lip glosses and liners, is designed to complement women of all ethnicities.

Asked if there are any products that she can’t live without, Flavin-Stallone divulges a few of her luxurious grooming necessities. “I cannot live without my Mason Pearson brush.
