SATC’s Beauty
and Style
 For
a decade, Sex and the City has defined style
for generations of chic women. As a testament to the
series’ stylish appeal, SATC, which went off the
air in 2004, has lived on in the hearts of addicted
fans everywhere.
Now, four years after Sex’s unwelcome
demise, we’re finally getting some closure thanks
to Friday’s release of Sex and the City,
the movie.
Will Carrie and big finally get married? Is Charlotte
realizing her dream of becoming a mom? Are Steve and
Miranda over? One thing is for sure, no matter the story
line, it’s the beauty and style of SATC’s
four stars that will serve up our happy ending. And
this week, I’ve got a sneak peek at happiness…
The fashion
 It’s
been said that no one had ever heard of Manolo Blahnik
until Carrie. True or not, SATC’s fearless
sex columnist has undeniably fanned the flames for an
abundance of trends from giant flower adornments (season
3) to sky-high, high-priced European shoes. In SATC,
the movie, the edgy looks continue. Some looks may seem
unwearable for the average woman while others are sure
to become stylish staples.
Carrie’s leather finger tip gloves appear odd
but given that they’re a creation of SATC’s
favorite designer, Patricia Field, they may just be
destined to become the next big thing. Lauren

agrees, “Most of the fashions on Sex and the
City are unavailable or way out of the average
woman's price range. Fingertip gloves can be purchased

In another scene, Carrie continues the lingerie-by-day
trend sporting a grey, one-piece romper crafted of cotton
and silk and made by The Lake and Stars. The
piece, reportedly hand selected by Sarah Jessica Parker,
features strips of silk in the front that fall open
lending a glimpse at the star’s bra (another staple
Carrie look- the exposed undergarment) paired with jeans.
